Directions to Synod Hall

From Squirrel Hill:
1: Drive west on Forbes Avenue toward downtown Pittsburgh, past Carnegie Mellon University on your left.

2: When you come to the traffic light at Craig Street, turn right onto Craig Street.

3: At the next traffic light at the intersection of Craig and Fifth Avenue, St. Paul Cathedral will be on the opposite left corner.

4:Synod Hall is located directly behind St. Paul Cathedral on Craig Street. You may enter Synod Hall from Craig Street.


From Shadyside:
1:Drive west on Fifth Avenue heading towards the Oakland section of Pittsburgh.

2: At the Craig Street traffic light, you will see St. Paul Cathedral on the opposite right corner.

3: Synod Hall is located behind St. Paul Cathedral on Craig Street. You may enter Synod Hall from Craig Street.


From 376 East/Monroeville:
1: Exit at 376 East at Edgewood/Swissvale; at stop sign, turn right.

2: Go up the hill (Braddock Avenue), through one traffic light.

3: At second traffic light, turn left on Forbes Avenue. (Playground on left.)
Follow Forbes for about 4 miles; you will go through a business district (Squirrel Hill), through a residential section, and past Carnegie Mellon University on your left.

4: When you come to the Craig Street traffic light, turn right onto Craig Street.

5: When you come to the next traffic light at the intersection of Craig and Fifth Avenue, St. Paul Cathedral will be on the opposite left corner.

6: Synod Hall is located directly behind St. Paul Cathedral on Craig Street. You may enter Synod Hall from Craig Street.


From 376 West/Ft. Pitt Tunnel:
1: Exit 376 West at Forbes Avenue.

2: Follow Forbes Avenue through the Oakland business district.

3:You will drive through University of Pittsburgh and past the Carnegie Museum on your right.

4:Turn left onto Craig Street at the traffic light by the Carnegie Museum.

5: When you come to the next traffic light at the intersection of Craig and Fifth Avenue, St. Paul Cathedral will be on the opposite left corner.

6: Synod Hall is located directly behind St. Paul Cathedral on Craig Street. You may enter Synod Hall from Craig Street.


From I 279/ North Hills:
1: I-279 S toward PITTSBURGH.

2:Merge onto I-579 S via EXIT 8A toward VETERANS BRIDGE.

3:Take the exit toward I-376 E / OAKLAND / MONROEVILLE.

4:Stay STRAIGHT to go onto BOULEVARD OF THE ALLIES.

5:Take the FORBES AVE ramp.

6:Stay STRAIGHT to go onto FORBES AVE.

7:Turn LEFT onto S CRAIG ST.

From Rt.51/ South Hills:
1:Head NORTH on PA-51 / SAW MILL RUN BLVD

2:Take the ramp toward I-579 / DOWNTOWN / SOUTH SIDE.

3:Turn RIGHT onto W LIBERTY AVE.

4:Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto LIBERTY TUNNELS.

5:LIBERTY TUNNELS becomes LIBERTY BRIDGE.

6:Take the BLVD OF THE ALLIES ramp toward I-376 E / OAKLAND / MONROEVILLE.

7:Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto BOULEVARD OF THE ALLIES.

8:Take the FORBES AVE ramp.

9:Stay STRAIGHT to go onto FORBES AVE.

10: Turn LEFT onto S CRAIG ST.
