Support Renaissance and Baroque by giving appreciated stock!
With recent stock market activity, this may be one of the very best times to consider a gift of stock to R&B. Charitable gifts to R&B are tax-deductible.
By giving a gift of appreciated stock, you also:
- Avoid capital gains tax
- Qualify for a tax deduction based on the fair market value of stock (if you have held the stock for at least one year)
- Support early music performances and outreach activities in Pittsburgh

Charitable Bequest
A charitable bequest for the benefit of the Renaissance and Baroque can be included in the body of your will or in an addition to your will
(known as a “codicil”)
To name R&B as a beneficiary, please use its legal name: " Renaissance and Baroque.” You also may describe a specific purpose for the use of your bequest, such as concert underwriting, outreach & education, or special projects.
Bequests may be made to us in several ways:
Residuary Bequest - You may state that all or a portion of your estate be
given to R&B after specific amounts are distributed to other
beneficiaries.
Specific Bequest - You may state that a certain percentage of your estate,
a certain dollar amount, or specific securities be given to R&B.
Contingent Bequest - You may direct that your assets be distributed to the
R&B only if your primary heirs do not survive you.
The Executive Director would be happy to meet with you if you are considering a bequest.
