Can I give a contribution to R&B via your website? Ticket revenue only covers part of Renaissance and Baroque's operating budget, so your contribution is an essential part of our success. Become a Contributor
Where can we go to eat before or after the concert? There are a number of restaurants in the area, especially on South Craig Street. When you come out of Synod Hall, turn right on South Craig, cross Fifth Avenue (first light) and keep walking. The restaurants start about a half a block after the light, and go all the way down to Forbes Avenue. There are casual and fine dining restaurants and lots of different kinds of food including American, Thai, Indian, Middle Eastern, and Italian. Enjoy! For a list of restaurants
May I bring children to the concert? Performances typically last for two hours and it may be difficult for children not to become restless. However, older children may enjoy a concert and ultimately parents are the best judge.
What about cell phones, pagers and other electronic devices? As a courteousy to others all electronic devices should be turned off prior to the start of any performance.
How can I be reached in an emergency? The telephone number for Synod Hall is (412-621-6217); the actual phone is in the assembly room. Someone will be there to answer it throughout the concert.
May I take pictures, videotape or tape record the performance? The use of cameras and any kind of recording equipment is strictly prohibited.
Accessibility for wheelchair: For wheelchair access, park in a handicapped spot in the Cathedral parking lot (behind Synod Hall). As you come toward the front of the hall some steps will be straight ahead. Before you get to them, you will find a door on the left. Enter the building through this door. You will now be in the concert hall at the front on the left side. Come up the aisle and into the lobby. If you have any questions, please contact the R&B office (412-361-2048).
Is there an intermission? Yes, a single intermission for most concerts. Coffee, Juice and Water are avilable as well as CD’s and R&B gift items.
What if I am late? Latecomers will be seated at a suitable interlude during the performance.
How should I dress for the concert? Just about anything goes. A lot of our patrons like to dress up for the occasion, but others like to go casual. On any given night, you are likely to see three-piece suits and evening dress, blue jeans and jogging suits, and everything in between. So the final word is, dress in whatever way you feel comfortable.
How can I learn more about Early Music? We offer a Q&A sessions with the musicans immediately following the performance, take a seat up front to talk to the musicans. We also offer a library of Links to other sources.
How do I place an ad in the program? Call the Administrative office and speak to the Executive Director at (412-361-2048).
How may I volunteer? Volunteers are an integral part of R&B’s success. Their is a wide variety of volunteer opurtunities, some would only require a few hours of your time, while others would require a more serious time commitment. There is bound to be an opportunity that fits your interest, skills and avilable time. Learn how to get involved.

I have tickets, but I can't come! What do I do? You can claim the cost of your tickets as a tax-deductible donation. Call the ticket line (412-361-2048) and we'll be glad to send you a receipt. If you find out the evening of the concert, try calling us at Synod Hall (412-621-6217).
