The Lamar Soutter Library at the University of Massachusetts Medical School has a part-time (20 hours), grant-funded Outreach Coordinator position with the National Network of Libraries of Medicine New England Region. The Outreach Coordinator is part of a highly collaborative team of coordinators that implement the Regional Medical Library work plan. Under the general direction of the Associate Director or designee, the Outreach Coordinator plans and coordinates outreach programs for the region, coordinates exhibits, and serves as liaison to National Library of Medicine (NLM) for direct outreach to health professionals. The Outreach Coordinator identifies unaffiliated, underserved, and minority health care and information professionals in the New England region. The Outreach Coordinator works with Network members to develop instructional programs for Network members. A masters degree in Library Science is required. Work schedule will vary to meet exhibit and conference requirements.
