Chatham Baroque collaborates with guest director Tom Zajac, and twelve world-class singers and instrumentalists in a unique program of popular songs and dances from late 18th century Peru that survive in an unlikely source, a collection of water color paintings! The program includes songs with Indian and African influences, drinking songs, love songs and a hymn to the Virgin Mary, and will be accompanied by a slide presentation of the beautiful images from the manuscript.
